Sri Digvijaya Nath Padhi, Member, Odisha State Food Commission hails from Paralakhemundi in Gajapati District, Odisha. He is the son of Late Rama Krishna Padhi, IP, former Inspector General (IG) of Police Odisha.
Shri Padhi had his early School Education in Stewart and Odisha Police High School, Cuttack and passed his HSC examination from Unit-1, Boy’s High School, Bhubaneswar. He graduated from SKCG College ,Paralakhemundi with Honor’s in Political Science under Berhampur University and Completed MA in Political Science from Utkal University
,Vani- Vihar, Bhubaneswar. Shri Padhi during his College days was actively associated with Youth Red Cross Society, NSS and Humanities Society. He is a life member of Indian Red Cross Society.
Shri Padhi had worked in Eastern Media Limited, Publishers of daily newspaper ‘Sambad’ till he joined the premier service of the State i.e., Odisha Administrative Service in 1988 and superannuated in the rank of Special Secretary to Government in 2018. During his tenure in the Government, he had held important assignments, such as Tahsildar, Block Development Officer, Asst. Financial Advisor cum US to Revenue Divisional Commissioner (SD), Spl. Land Acquisition Officer & RRO (MIP Ganjam), SubCollector and Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Finance and Administrative Officer OTELP(O), Additional Secretary to Government, Commerce and Transport (Commerce) Department with additional charge as Managing Director of OSCTC(O), Director of Industries, Odisha and Secretary – Odisha Information Commission.
Shri Padhi has attended program on Public Policy and Governance at Somerville College, Oxford University being Sponsored through Government of Odisha. Sri Padhi has interest in Homoeopathy as a hobby and has the habit of reading books during his leisure. Shri Padhi is happily married to Dhara, who is a housewife although initially was into the teaching profession and they are blessed with a son Roshan who is a MBA in International Business as Specialization from Amity University, Uttar Pradesh.
